2024 DEEP SOUTH Section President-Elect Ballot

As a CCCA member in the Deep South Section, you have the opportunity to vote for your section’s next president-elect. The two candidates are Erin Bennett of Twin Lakes Camp and Conference Center, Mississippi and Garrett Wilkey of The Vision, Alabama.

Please take the time to vote for a highly qualified candidate who not only has notable leadership skills and experience, but also demonstrates commitment to Christian camp ministry and the association. Erin has been in camping for 6 1/2 year(s) and is currently serving as Administrative Assistant at Twin Lakes Camp & Conference Center.

Erin provided the following information for your consideration when voting:

PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION
Twin Lakes Camp & Conference Center has held a special place in my heart since becoming my first "real job" as a teenager. I was immensely blessed to have the opportunity to return in a full-time capacity in 2017. God has used this place and the special people who are my second family to shape my life and to bring Him glory.

I have had the pleasure of serving on the Deep South Section Cabinet for three years.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 16 years. We have been blessed with three, amazing children who keep us very busy. I enjoy spending time with family and friends cooking, eating, spending time outside, and playing board games.

VISION FOR THIS SECTION
The Deep South Section is a true community of individuals with the common goal of Gospel impact. I have learned and grown so much as a result of this group of Christian camp professionals and I want to bring as many area camps into this community as possible. Camp people are the best!

Garrett has been in camping for 3.5 year(s) and is currently serving as Camp Director at The Vision.

Garrett provided the following information for your consideration when voting:

PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION
I graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Wildlife Science and spent 20 years in the small business world focusing customer service, leadership and process improvement. I joined The Vision to combine my passion for God's creation with serving others and sharing the love of Jesus.

I am active in other ministries such as Trail Life USA as a leader, teaching small groups in church and serving internationally on mission trips.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
My wife, Alison and I have been married for 21 years and have a 16 year old daughter and a 13 year old son. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, hiking, fishing, and camping.

VISION FOR THIS SECTION
I think we have a great section. Based on my personal experience, I would like see intentional networking and support among individuals in the same camp roles (ex. Camp Directors, Admins, Activity Directors, etc).
