When Blake Mycoskie, founder of Toms shoes, and Pat Dossett, former Navy SEAL, wanted to improve their wellness journeys, they dreamed up “analog” wellness kits to help others find a better quality of life without their smartphones. They created MadeFor, a 10-month program that applies the principles of modern neuroscience, psychology and physiology to make subscribers’ brains and bodies better. Each month has a theme: gratitude, nature, connection, breath, hydration, rest, fuel, clarity, vision and movement. Mycoskie and Dossett have learned what Christian camp leaders are likely endorsing every day. Could your team craft a new programming element from these themes for camps or retreats? How could you teach each of these through a gospel lens? Check out “‘Modern living is tough’ Toms founder launches a wellness kit inspired by his own struggles” and the site for MadeFor.
