Information
Mount Carmel came out of the Lutheran Bible Institute tradition, created as a summer family camp for the college which closed in 1987. The camp became independent in 1988 and continues to provide family camp ministries but has grown to serve adults and older adults, as well as hosting church groups, retreats, rentals, and conferences.
Our summer family programming is unique in that it is our primary ministry, with housing that is designed for families, and a campus that designed for a safe, fun environment for generations to be together and grow in faith.
Our adult camp weeks are also unique as they provide resort like accommodations with solid biblical content, worship, and activities for those looking to grow in faith in a community centered on the Lord.
Churches, organizations, families, or businesses can rent the camp for retreats, camps, conferences or special events..

We are set up to handle the following group sizes in the various seasons:
During the summer, we can take care of up to 200 guests. In the spring, we can accommodate 120 guests. Our winter capacity is 120. Finally, in fall, we have enough room for 120 guests.

Location
Mount Carmel is located approximately 8 miles north of Alexandria on the west side of Lake Carlos.
