Information

Co-ed non-denominational Christian camp for rising 3rd-12th graders (3 grades per week-long sessions), on beautiful Lake Lure in the foothills of the Blueridge Mountains. Camp activities include lakefront related, ropes course, archery, crafts, and other traditional camp sports/games. Summer staff ministry is a focus area with year round contact with our staff. We also offer retreats in August-October for churches, youth groups, college campus groups, and other Christian groups seeking time away in the mountains.
At Camp Lurecrest, we believe in developing intentional relationships and a felt sense of community. This means that all of our summer staff meet one on one with a mentor, all of our campers have a purposeful and affirming conversation with a counselor, and much of our staff training involves practicing individual Gospel centered conversations. Additionally, our culture is outdoor and technology free with day-off expectations like letting everyone know your plans and offering rides to people who want to join. We choose this approach because we worship a Holy and yet relational God and we want to become a community that is reflects His character.

We are set up to handle the following group sizes in the various seasons:

During the summer, we can take care of up to 225 guests. In the spring, we can accommodate 210 guests. Our winter capacity is 90. Finally, in fall, we have enough room for 200 guests.

We also offer the following special activities and features:

Lakefront with ropes swing, 200ft water slide, inflatable apparatus Pontoon and speed boat for pulling tubers. sand volleyball, gaga ball
