Situated on 700 hundred acres at the foot of the Blue Mountain in Berks County, PA, Camp Swatara exists to provide opportunities for all people to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ so that we may live our lives in total discipleship for Him. We believe this is facilitated through two pathways: Community and Creation. We offer summer and year round programming; a retreat area with a total of 320 beds, meal service or self-cook options; and a 140 site family campground. Our focus is family, friends, friendly service, and discovering the character of God through the camp community and created world.

We are set up to handle the following group sizes in the various seasons:

During the summer, we can take care of up to 399 guests. In the spring, we can accommodate 399 guests. Our winter capacity is 295. Finally, in fall, we have enough room for 399 guests.

We also offer the following special activities and features:

We offer a base camp called Mountainside just below the Appalachian Trail; a 140 site Family Campground, Splash Pad, 18 hole Disc golf course w/16 of 18 holes having long and short tees, lake for fishing and boating, hiking nearly 4 miles of trails, sports fields, gaga ball, mini-golf, summer camps, weekend family Exploration Days and Homeschool Outdoor Education, along with team building courses.

Location

We are less than 2 hours northwest of Philadelphia, north of Baltimore, and northeast of Gettysburg. We are less than an hour from Allentown, Harrisburg, and Hershey, PA. Just minutes from route 78, we are nestled in a beautiful spot, not far from easy access to major cities.
