Information
The Western Plains Camp is a nonprofit Christian camp owned and operated by The Salvation Army and located just west of South Sioux City on more than 100 acres. All are welcome to experience the joy and adventure of exploring the great outdoors.
Our meeting, lodging and dining facilities are also available for large or small group rental.

We are set up to handle the following group sizes in the various seasons:
During the summer, we can take care of up to 320 guests. In the spring, we can accommodate 320 guests. Our winter capacity is 320. Finally, in fall, we have enough room for 320 guests.
We also offer the following special activities and features:
Swimming in the summer, archery, camp fire pit, trails, rustic tent camping area and seven modern cabins (built in 2021), new challenge course with zip line, lodge building with 16 private en-suite rooms.
Location
The camp is located in the southern part of Sioux City located in NE.
