Job Summary: The Development and Recruitment Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth and development of the organization by overseeing both development initiatives and recruitment efforts. This role involves actively identifying, engaging, and cultivating relationships with potential donors and partners to secure funding. Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and retaining top talent through effective recruitment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support organizational goals.

Cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners to secure funding.

Plan and coordinate fundraising events and campaigns to increase donor engagement.

Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling messages and materials for fundraising.

Oversee the recruitment process, from job posting to candidate onboarding.

Source and attract qualified candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and networking events.

Conduct interviews and screenings to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit.

Coordinate with department directors to facilitate the selection and hiring process.

Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions and recruitment agencies to support talent pipelines.

Qualifications:

Proven experience or equivalent higher education in fundraising, development, and/or recruitment roles.

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with fundraising software and applicant tracking systems.

Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Spiritual maturity to support the growth of a vibrant Christian ministry

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This combined role of Development and Recruitment requires a candidate who is versatile, proactive, and adept at both fundraising and talent acquisition.



Other Duties

Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director not to exceed 10% of working time.
