MISSION STATEMENT
To inspire Christ-like change through Outdoor Adventure, Authentic Relationships, and Biblical Truth.

COMMUNITY
The makeup of our community determines a large part of what it is like to live and work here. We have approximately 150 people who live on-site year round, consisting of: full-time staff/families and seasonal summer staff. Glorieta is a beautiful place with many natural resources but calls for somewhat remote living.

JOB PURPOSE
Guest Support Assistant is a full time position designed to fulfill our mission of inspiring Christ-like change by working on a team that serves all of the varying needs of guests that attend through Schools, Events, Conferences, and Retreats. This position will work with several departments with the primary role being in Guest Services, Retail, Housekeeping/Custodial, and Food Services. On occasion, this role will also assist with running activities, grounds, and light maintenance depending on guest needs and season.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Group service and support- Both summer and non summer groups
Assisting the Retreat Hosts in their roles as needed
Preparation/Setting up facilities and spaces for guests
Learning and facilitating camp activities
Leading group development exercises for guests
Performing housekeeping duties
Assisting in meal preparation and cleaning
Running retail locations
Assisting in and implementing systems that improve efficiency
Assisting with local outreach/marketing events
Assisting with projects around camp. These tasks may include minor building, painting, and cleaning and building summer programs experiences
Assisting with improving guest spaces (including, but not limited to, general maintenance, organization, decorating)
Contributing to creative innovation discussions on improving camp and follow through with assisting in its execution
Assisting with recruiting as needed (could include overnight travel)

OTHER DUTIES OF ALL GLORIETA STAFF
Glorieta Camps operates year- round. We have guests on the premises almost every day of the year. Serving guests is Glorieta’s first priority. Therefore, ALL staff must participate in guest service in some capacity. Tasks may include cooking, cleaning, facilitating group activities, running retail locations, general maintenance of camp property, and work projects as needed. There are often groups here on weekends, and all staff members will be required to work certain weekends as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to walk for long distances across varying terrain.
Ability to work long hours for long stretches of days.
The lifting of heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
Standing for several hours.
Various other types of physical labor.

COMPENSATION
Full-time hourly, onsite housing, health and wellness plan, 401(k) retirement package after one year, and paid vacation time. See HR and/or potential supervisor for details.
$25 monthly cell phone stipend.
