Camping Internship
Camp Intern - Internship (year-long)
Camp JIM (Jesus Is Mine), in Pillager, MN desires to build into future leaders and help them as they seek where they will serve, whether in Christian camping or another ministry or in a secular business. Regardless, our goal is to help prepare interns for the greatest success. We believe the Lord calls all Christian organizations into discipleship, and our internship is designed as one means of us answering our call.
Interns can choose areas of focus while enjoying a family-like, Christian work environment with an academic and experiential focus. Our mission for internships is to provide a variety of experiences and training in camping ministry, church ministry, and life skills while helping interns discover and interpret where God is calling them. Serving at Camp JIM means being part of a work family that God has put together. We all support one another in a way that is unlike many other jobs. Things interns gain hands-on experience in: - Minister to youth (and adults) - Serving in a local, rural church - Leading youth and adults through Camps & events - Basic life skills training (electrical, budgeting, car maintenance, operating equipment, housekeeping, planning, cooking, etc....) - Discipleship of others - Personal growth (spiritually and emotionally) with mentorship for you - Program planning, scheduling, promotion, staff hiring... - Basic support raising - Training in finances, budgeting and financial planning. - Behind the scenes experience, like kitchen, sound, lighting, pre-event planning, administration, and more... - Opportunities to work closer with different department heads. - Touring other camps to gain greater perspective of the camp ministry and network. - CCCA (Christian Camp and Conference) Networking and more! - Opportunity to shadow different department leaders. - Touring, meeting with and evaluating other ministries to gain wide range of opportunities where you may best fit or your spiritual gifts align.
The next Internship class runs 9/2025 - 8/2026. Some exceptions can be possible when needed. You could also come on earlier in the summer as summer staff if interested in getting more experience and a glimpse of working with our team.
