Marketing Intern
Job Summary: Camp Blessing Texas is a Christian camp seeking an extraordinarily creative individual with the desire to spread our mission through effective marketing communications. These marketing efforts will be related to the recruitment of Christ-centered staff and volunteers in order to minister to and serve our campers with special needs. This is a full-time, seasonal position that will begin in mid-August and end in mid-December. We offer many programs throughout the year that will require you to help plan events and assist with camp administration. As the marketing intern, you will also be responsible for the management of our social media platforms. This includes posting about upcoming events, sharing our beliefs and culture, responding to inquiries via facebook messenger, and encompassing the joy and experience of our campers, volunteers, and staff members. Traveling will be required for recruitment purposes and will be fully reimbursed by Camp Blessing.
Supervision: Executive Director
Job Duties: -Create attractive materials for marketing and recruitment -Recruit volunteers, campers, and camp staff - Some travel required for recruiting events -Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail, and web) -Create promotional videos -Monitoring and managing the company's social media platforms, adjusting outreach tactics as needed -Research and evaluate competitor marketing and digital content -Research customer trends -Support the team in daily administrative tasks, i.e. answering phone calls/emails -Help with summer preparations as delegated via leadership meetings -Assist with registration/administration of campers, volunteers, and staff -Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns -Perform market analysis and research on competition -Prepare promotional presentations -Distribute marketing materials -Prepare and communicate website updates and changes to website host -Organize and host marketing events -Developing tools and methods for collecting data such as surveys, opinion polls or questionnaires -Collecting and analyzing data to identify consumer trends, as well as satisfaction -Researching consumer opinions and marketing strategies and proposing adjustments to current strategies accordingly
Qualifications: -Applied understanding of basic marketing principles and techniques -Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) -Creative problem-solving skills -Self-motivated with ability to work independently -Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Basic photography, image and video editing, and graphic design skills -Bachelor’s degree or currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field -Prior experience with recruitment is a plus -Proficient with the use of Google Drive -Previous experience with the use of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and social media management tools is a plus

Learning Objectives/goals: will be made in collaboration with student and academic supervisor. - Effective marketing resulting in higher levels of inquiries for camp and retreats - Social media evaluation tools should show increasing interaction
