Camp Maintenance

This position will be responsible for performing maintenance duties on Ironwood property and equipment. This position also requires someone with the capacity to maintain a multitude of equipment types including outdoor equipment, HVAC systems, and septic/water systems, and to operate heavy machinery such as skid loaders, tractors, etc..

This position requires someone who can physically perform all functions and duties of this position, including heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and being able to physically handle being active for 8 hours a day.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and BASIC DUTIES:

The following are the functions that are essential to this position:

Building Maintenance: Perform repair and construction duties on facilities and equipment associated with the buildings on sight. Equipment may include motorized/small engine equipment/vehicles, HVAC systems, and water and waste management systems.
Carpentry: Ability to do basic carpentry/construction tasks.
Heavy equipment operation: Ability to operate or learn to operate skid loaders, telescopic forklifts, tractors, farm equipment, and large mowers is required.
Cleaning: Perform both on-demand and seasonal cleaning duties with attention to detail in terms of ensuring that our facilities our neat and clean.

Besides the above essential functions, the basic duties of the position include:

Scheduling: Working with the Executive Director and Office Manager to understand the overall ranch schedule and coordinate maintenance accordingly.
Record management: Keeping maintenance records associated with the buildings
Volunteer coordination and management related to maintenance projects.
All ranch employees are asked to help in other areas when needed. Some of these functions include guest activities/interaction. Guest activities include things such as zip line, shooting range, and tractor wagon rides.
