Job Description Title: Application Developer Department: Shared Services Reports To: Director of Technology Solutions
As an Application Developer on our Technology Solutions team, you'll have the exciting opportunity to drive innovation and make a meaningful impact by developing high-quality applications that touch every aspect of our organization—from employees and programs to guests and ministry partners. You'll be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying applications across diverse platforms using cutting-edge technologies. Your role will involve creating intuitive and user-friendly solutions, writing clean and efficient code, and ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment, contribute to project milestones, and play a key part in aligning our technological advancements with strategic objectives. Key Responsibility and Expectations Technical Expertise: Design and develop applications using a variety of technologies, including Microsoft Power Platform, Salesforce Apex, Angular, Svelte, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS. Solution Design: Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Development Activities: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for both front-end and back-end components. Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality through testing and adherence to best practices in coding standards and security. Systems Integration: Develop APIs and web services to integrate various systems and platforms. Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to contribute to the continuous improvement of our applications. Collaboration: Work closely with other developers and departments to ensure cohesive development efforts. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for all projects. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise. Character, Abilities, Skills, Experience, Education: The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, disciplined, and have the following:
Personal and authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. Passion to support an organization striving to create Christ-like change. Demonstrated expertise in: Full-stack development across multiple platforms and technologies. Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). Salesforce development (Apex, Lightning Components). JavaScript and modern frameworks (Angular, Svelte, Node.js). HTML/CSS and front-end development. Building and consuming RESTful APIs. Developing web services and integrations. Relational databases and SQL. Strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent analytical skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work quickly and follow industry best practices. Desire to learn, adapt, and grow with our team. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in application development. Work Context: This job is fully remote, with a bonus option to live on property in Glorieta, New Mexico if desired.
Travel: Possible infrequent travel for training and development.
Work Environment: This position will be primarily office based, but may be called upon to assist with other duties as needs arise.
Training: All employees will be given the opportunity to improve their skills through appropriate training. This will include ongoing coaching and on the job training as a regular part of this position.
Compensation: Full-time salary, rent-free on-site housing including utilities, $0 deductible health and wellness plan, retirement benefits with matching funds, paid vacation time, flexible work schedule
