MISSION STATEMENT To inspire Christ-like change through Outdoor Adventure, Authentic Relationships, and Biblical Truth.
COMMUNITY The makeup of our community determines a large part of what it is like to live and work here. We have approximately 120 people who live on-site year round, consisting of full-time staff, families, and seasonal summer staff. Glorieta is a beautiful place with many natural resources but calls for somewhat remote living.
JOB PURPOSE To fulfill our mission by administratively supporting program managers with domestic summer staff (non international) recruiting and onboarding. Summer staff is composed of college age students from America who serve from May-August. Summer staff play an important and pivotal role in our ministry by serving and leading thousands of campers. The summer staff recruiting and admin assist will act as a liaison between summer staff applicants and programs managers to ensure each applicant is tracked from recruitment to onboarding. This is an administrative role that is largely in support of program managers as they build their summer team.
Key Responsibilities: Applicant Screening: Conduct preliminary screenings and interviews for new applicants to ensure they meet program requirements. Recruitment Support: Assist and support program managers in recruiting summer staff throughout the recruiting and onboarding process. Administrative Assistance: Provide administrative support to program directors as needed, including: - Onboarding Management: Follow the entire onboarding process for summer staff, from screening interviews through to completion of training and onboarding. - Applications Tracking System Administration: Manage and maintain applicants in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure accurate and efficient processing of applications and communication with applicants - Document Management: Oversee and organize recruiting documents, including onboarding spreadsheets, checklists, contracts, and welcome packets. - Trip Coordination: Collaborate and communicate with program managers to coordinate trip details and logistical arrangements as required.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Primarily assist in planning and coordinating recruiting visits and travel schedule when needed Follow-up with unfinished applications and leads Conduct screening interviews Maintain knowledge of summer staff roles at Glorieta to gain knowledge of each department to be able to communicate accurate information while recruiting/interviewing. Event planning assistance and execution for the purpose of attracting interested students to serve at camp Meeting and maintaining communication with potential or hired staff Some travel to college campuses, college ministries and relevant events may be required during recruiting seasons. Develop and propose recruiting materials in collaboration with program managers and the marketing team Organize and pack materials and supplies for recruiting events Collaborate and cooperate with HR to coordinate all necessary hiring paperwork for summer staff and volunteers Contribute and participate in the greater Glorieta community

OTHER DUTIES OF ALL GLORIETA STAFF Glorieta Camps operates year round serving guests. Therefore, all staff must participate in guest service in some capacity. Tasks may include cooking, cleaning, facilitating group activities, running retail locations, general maintenance of camp property, and work projects as needed. There are often groups here on weekends, and all staff members will be required to work certain weekends as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Able to lift and transport recruiting supplies [tents, displays, giveaways, etc] up to 50 lbs. Ability to work long hours for long stretches of days Able to facilitate and participate in adventure or athletic activities Ability to drive for several hours
WORK ENVIRONMENT Most on-site work will be done within the recruiting office at Glorieta, New Mexico doing computer work, collaborating/coordinating with program managers, and packing/organizing for recruiting trips. There will also be occasional travel required where you will be interacting with university students and/or leaders of student ministries or campus leaders.
COMPENSATION This is a full time year round hourly position with full-time benefits. Housing, utilities, and some meals are included.
