About the role:
As the Horse Programs Manager at Frontier Cove you will see the mission of New Life Ranch carried out through the interaction of our guests and campers with God's creation. You will provide an engaging environment for our guests and campers to interact and learn from our horses with safety in mind. You will be responsible for herd management, as well as facilitating Frontier Cove horsemanship activities such as Horse Camps, trail rides, summer horsemanship, pony rides, and riding classes. Your work in this position will require heavy manual labor, but you will have a primary end goal in mind to develop and grow the horse ministry at Frontier Cove.

About you:
-You have a strong safety awareness, able to manage risk and emergency situations.
-You can design, implement, and evaluate lessons for both groups and individuals.
-You are professional in your behavior, language and attitude and will hold others to the same.
-You can manage a team of direct reports.
-You are CHA certified (can be attained after hired).
-On your own, you can safely catch, halter, lead, tie, groom and tack horses.
-You safely and competently ride a walk, trot/jog, and canter/lope in arenas and open spaces.
-You are knowledgeable in horsemanship theory and riding skills, able to effectively communicate instruction and physical assistance to students.
-You have a basic knowledge and understanding of equine anatomy and physiology, so that you can manage the feeding, health care, and maintenance of horses. (The amount of initial responsibility for these areas will be based on your experience).
-You correctly assess the suitability, condition, and fit of all tack and equipment.
-You can hook up, trailer, and transport horses safely.

Time:  Full-Time Year Round
Salary:  Paid - Must Raise Partial Support
