Housekeeper

The purpose of America’s Keswick is to model and teach biblical victorious living in Christ Jesus, to provide an environment in which biblical life transformation takes place, and to foster active personal involvement in the local church.
POSITION SUMMARY: This role ensures cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas by completing housekeeping duties and also guiding and directing male housekeepers who are part of the Colony of Mercy work therapy program. This role may mentor and counsel the men.
REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Director, or Assistant Housekeeping Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleans guest rooms and public areas on a daily basis, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, making beds, changing towels, emptying garbage, etc. Responds to spontaneous guest needs/questions in a polite, helpful manner. Guides men from the work therapy program assigned to his specific area and may provide individual counseling. Maintains supplies and equipment and proactively informs the supervisor of required actions such as purchasing or maintenance needs. Completes other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
HS Diploma/GED preferred At least 1-year related housekeeping experience preferred Prior experience providing guidance and direction to others in a work environment If mentoring/counseling tasks are required, basic experience in counselling (particularly in addiction recovery) or willingness to attend in-house training is required.
JOB DETAILS: Hourly role, 40-hour workweek, predominantly night shift
