Horse Camp Counselor
POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Horse Camp Counselor is for campers assigned to him or her each week. Two male and two female needed.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Lead assigned campers in daily camp activities. • Lead campers in camp chores. • Make sure campers get to each scheduled camp activity safely. • Lead and participate in group devotion times. • Manage camper behavior. • Practice and enforce all camp safety regulations and emergency procedures. • Participate in camp-wide activities. • Responsible for the health and well-being of assigned campers • Expected to stay with your campers the entire camp including activities unless leadership has given other job assignments. • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Actively live and practice the Christian faith and live a lifestyle in accordance with the Statement of Faith and Beliefs detailed on the Beartooth Christian Camp website. • Must be 18 years of age or older. • Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task and manage a variety of tasks. • Must be able to interact with all age levels. • Ability to create and work within a Christian environment so that each camper has the opportunity for spiritual growth • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate in a positive manner with campers and staff • Interest in children and considerable evidence of emotional maturity, good moral character, judgement, integrity, and leadership capability. • CPR and First Aid Certification (provided) • Criminal Background Check (provided)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience with horses preferred but not required. • Willingness to learn about horses preferred but not required.
