Day Camp Director

Primary responsibility is to run the daily operation of the Haycock Day Camp, including:
* Be on camp Monday-Friday from 9 AM - 5 PM (hours may vary depending on the daily needs of camp). Average workload would be 45 hours per week
* Oversee Summer Staff/Group Leaders in daily execution of the Day Camp schedule, including setup, Bible lessons, activity times, free time, afternoon electives and events.
* Perform essential daily scheduling/leadership roles
- Teach daily Bible lesson, or schedule quality guest teachers during that time
- Run the Camp Store during afternoon snack time
- Prepare daily crafts/activities according to the curriculum
- Oversee or assign games and activities
* Plan and prepare for upcoming Day Camp programming
- Plan the group assignments and schedule for the upcoming week
- Prepare devotion guides and other material for counselors
- Plan weekly theme events for campers
* Deal with Camper and Staff behavioral issues, report to the Program Director and/or Parents as necessary
* Work with Program Director to develop and implement Bible study and discipleship plan for Day Camp Staff

Secondary responsibilities include aiding other members of the Day Camp staff team in their responsibilities, including:
* Assist with activity setup and maintenance
* Assist Summer Staff with Bible lesson and devotion preparations
* Assist group leader or step in as group leader in urgent situations
* Direct camper transportation on site, as well as assisting with offsite van transportation as needed.

Compensation:
* $5,000 - $10,000 per summer (for 9 weeks of work). Salary based on experience
* On campus lodging (3 bedroom, 2 bath) is available for Day Camp Director and family throughout the summer if needed
* All weekday meals provided by camp for Day Camp Director and family
* Children of Day Camp Director can attend Haycock Day Camp or Haycock Overnight Camps at no cost
