Summer Staff Coordinator
ABOUT AMERICA’S KESWICK: America’s Keswick is a ministry where biblical teaching is used to cultivate a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through Addiction Recovery, Conferences, Retreats, Events, and Outreach.
The purpose of America’s Keswick is to model and teach biblical victorious living in Christ Jesus, to provide an environment in which biblical life transformation takes place, and to foster active personal involvement in the local church.
DEPARTMENT PURPOSE: The purpose of the summer staff is to offer a summer job program to teens and young adults. While helping staff our conference center for summer, we desire to offer an enriching Christian environment and discipleship to help foster a stronger personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of the Summer Staff Coordinator position is to manage and organize the hiring, staffing, discipleship, and fun of the summer staff.
ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS:
The one holding this position must be a mature Christian, able to effectively lead and demonstrate Christ-likeness. It is imperative that this person always conduct themselves in a manner as to uphold a solid testimony in harmony with traditional, conservative, evangelical values. He or she must adhere to the doctrinal position of America’s Keswick and seek to live the principles of God’s Word. You must possess a passion for teens and a passion for helping train them in the word of God.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting and hiring summer staff. (HR & Marketing teams will assist) Filling required positions. Marketing job opportunities. Organizing start/end dates. Confirming all paperwork is submitted. Training/Managing Staff Train all staff in job assignments and rules. Schedule all staff in coordination with department directors. Assign sleeping arrangements. Communicating with parents as needed. Staff Discipleship Assign prayer partners for each staff member Organize Bible studies and devotionals Organize and participate in weekly fun activities. Guide and correct as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma Administration and organization skills are required. Previous scheduling experience is a plus. Communication skills are required. Ability to supervise, correct, and guide youth is required.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports directly to the Director of Operations
HOURS: Jan-Mid June approx 5 hours per week (can be done remotely). Mid June-Labor day 40+ hours.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is an on-call position that will require living on property from mid June-Labor Day.
