Wilderness Canoe Guide

Lead wilderness expeditions in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness!

AC Guides lead 3-5 night canoe camping trips for groups of 4-8 people. Over half of our groups are church youth groups, but demographics vary from youth, to families, and adults, and co-ed to single gender. Guides are responsible for planning and preparing for trips, performing and teaching camping skills, ensuring group safety through strong leadership, investing in relationship, and encouraging campers to take next steps in Christian faith. All staff assist with in-base projects and tasks while not on trail. Against the backdrop of the beautiful and rugged Boundary Waters Wilderness, a summer as an AC trail guide provides opportunity for adventure, life changing growth, and a deeper connection to God and His creation.

Adventurous Christians is affiliated with the Evangelical Covenant Church, but ministers to a variety of Christian denominations. In order to succeed, staff must desire to be challenged physically, mentally, and spiritually, and to work with people and share their Christian faith with them.
