Maintenance Administrator
Position Overview:
Michindoh Conference Center is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Administrator to lead and oversee our maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, maintenance, and building trades, with experience in HVAC installation and repair, as well as electrical systems. Given our extensive refrigeration and A/C units, expertise in these areas will be particularly valuable.
While recent years have seen significant development, our current focus is on the ongoing maintenance and revitalization of our existing facilities. The maintenance department is responsible for managing a variety of assets, including dorms, cabins, conference spaces, machinery, and both recreational and work vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the daily operations of the maintenance department. • Oversee the maintenance of dormitories, cabins, conference rooms, and other facilities. • Ensure the proper maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and electrical systems. • Supervise and provide hands-on support to the maintenance team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. • Prioritize maintenance tasks, plan preventive measures, and handle emergency repairs as needed.
Position Requirements:
• Proven experience in maintenance, construction, and building trades, along with experience working with HVAC and electrical systems. • Ability to manage a diverse range of facilities, equipment, and vehicles. • Strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. • A passion for serving the Lord and contributing to a Christ-centered community. • Must be committed to working as part of a team of believers dedicated to glorifying God through service.
About Michindoh Conference Center:
Michindoh Conference Center is a year-round Christian camp and conference facility located in South Central Michigan. Set on 250 acres of rolling hills, a private spring-fed lake, and scenic woodlands, we provide a retreat space for groups ranging in size from 20 to 700, with total occupancy occasionally exceeding 1,000. While we serve guests of all ages, 60-70% of our attendees are high school age or younger. We primarily host church and parachurch organizations but also run our own Outdoor Education School and evangelistic camping programs.
