Operations Manager/On-site Director

Major Goal:
To advance the purpose Bear Trap Ranch and the purpose of the camp, this position will provide effective leadership and supervision for the camp.

Relationships:
Supervised by: CEO/Executive Director
Supervises Guest Services/Office Manager, Facilities Manager, and Food Service Manager
Status Full-time, Exempt

Major Responsibilities:
Lead the Camp staff by:

• Recruiting and strategically placing quality camp staff in key positions
• Working in partnership with camp staff as needed on specific projects
• Maintaining contact with staff and attending staff meeting and conferences
• Maintain sound financial status
• Performing office functions to support own work an others' work as assigned
• Participating in scheduled community activities and meetings

Provide supervision within the camp by:
• Training and supervising camp staff
• Providing ongoing feedback and holding annual performance reviews
• Modeling solid pastoral and supervisory skills for Camp staff
• Providing pastoral care to staff members through prayer and regular team meetings
• Oversee training opportunities for growth and development of individual staff

Qualifications:
• Affirm Bear Trap Ranch’s Statement of Faith
• Sense of calling to Bear Trap Ranch, its mission.
• College degree or equivalent experience
• Leadership experience
• Ability to work well with people organization-wide
• Ability to work independently
• Supervisory and team building experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Flexibility to work irregular and extended hours as required
